The new Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation is getting mixed reviews from everyone it seems. I wasn’t going to bother trying it since it seems cushion foundations are a mixed bag for us combo/oily skinned folks. But after hearing a few raves, of course I caved.
My beef with cushion foundations in general is the lack of product for the money you spend. The packaging of the Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation is nearly identical to L’Oreal’s Lumi cushion foundation. Both brands give you 0.51 ounces of product, which is about half of what you get with a bottle of foundation. The complaint most people have is that it dries out so quickly. However, the finish, convenience and ease of use seem to still be a big draw for cushion foundations.
There are eight shades of Maybelline Dream Cushion to choose from and it retails for roughly $16, depending on where you shop. I advise to always wait for a sale. Usually, any store where it can be purchased runs some kind of special at some point which will help make up for the amount of product you get in the package and the price point.
As usual, I tried this foundation out for several days in various ways on my combination / oily skin. I tried it with and without primer, with the included sponge, with a brush and with a beauty blender (damp and dry). Below is my review of Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation. I hope you find it helpful!
Honestly thank you so much for your page.
