Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint Review
Milk Makeup has had one of the most hyped product launches of the year: the Cooling Water Jelly Tint. This is a product that has been marketed as a multi-functional product that can be used on the lips, cheeks, and eyelids. I love a product that takes place of multiple products so I was excited to try these especially when I heard they were transfer-free.
These look like jello because they are bouncy and wiggly. I ended up trying all four shades (burst, spritz, splash, chill). If you’ve been thinking about trying these, this is my complete Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint review to help you decide if these are worth your money or not.

Main Ingredients
This product has three main ingredients: vegan collagen to help firm skin, aloe to sooth and refresh skin, and seawater to help hydrate skin and give a refreshing cooling effect.
Shades
Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tints come in four colors:
- Burst – a bright pink
- Spritz – a pinky coral
- Splash – a deep berry
- Chill – a poppy red
How to Apply It
Milk Makeup recommends gently swiping or swirling the stick directly onto your lips, cheeks, and eyelids. I personally found that when I applied the product this way, it set too quickly staining my cheeks in an unflattering way.
With a standard stick/cream blush, I typically spread the product on the back of my hand and swirling my brush or sponge into it before applying to my skin. But these dry too quickly to do that and the product doesn’t transfer well to my brush.
Instead, I recommend swirling your brush or sponge directly onto the stick before lightly tapping excess product onto the back of your hand. Since this product was formulated to not transfer, it sets very quickly. So you have to be very precise with application. Be sure to start with a very light layer, too. If you need more, you can build it up. But these are very pigmented, so you probably won’t need to!
Out of transparency, if you are looking for a blush you can simply swipe on and go, this is not going to be the product for you. It takes time to learn and requires some trail and error.
In Summary: Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint
While this is a very innovative product, there are some pros and cons. It stays in place all day, making it great for hot humid climates and all day events. It also applies well over foundation and doesn’t disturb it. But I find it difficult to work with and to apply evenly most of the time. I have other cream and stick blushes that are less fussy and last all day that I reach for over these.
Would I Recommend This Product?
These are definitely different than other blushes on the market and fun to play around with. But they’re not for everyone. If you do decide to try it, I recommend applying it initially with a blush brush in light layers. I also recommend playing around with it when you don’t actually have to be somewhere in case you mess up or apply it too heavily. And remember: work fast!
