Fragrances I’m Loving Right Now
I have a pretty solid perfume collection, and I rotate through it regularly depending on my mood, the time of day, and the season. Some days I’m drawn to soft florals, others I want something fresh and green, or warm and cozy. Right now, these five fragrances are standing out in the best way. From bright summer picks to soft, sophisticated favorites, here are the perfumes I’ve been reaching for lately (and yes, a few of these have been earning me compliments left and right).
Fragrances I’m Loving Right Now
Ellis Brooklyn Guava Granita
This is Ellis Brooklyn’s newest perfume, and it’s a beautiful fragrance for spring and summer. Guava Granita is fresh, creamy, and light. A soft floral with just enough depth to keep it interesting. On me, the vanilla and sandalwood really enter the picture on the dry down.
If you enjoy layering perfumes, this pairs beautifully with clean scents. I’ve played around with that and loved the result!
Scent Notes:
Top – Guava Juice, Banana, Bergamot, Tropical Waterlily
Middle – Cavaillon Melon, Coconut Palm, Mango Blossom
Base – Vanilla, Sandalwood, Almond Milk
This has moderate projection that turns more into a skin scent after a couple of hours, with decent lasting power.
LEDDA 22 Orris
I don’t have a signature scent, but if I had to choose one, this might be it. I absolutely adore this perfume and get compliments nearly every time I wear it. It’s definitely one of the most unique fragrances in my collection. It’s elegant, classy, soft, and wearable year-round.
For me, it opens slightly sharp and green, then mellows into something truly special. On my skin, the dry down is creamy, warm, and buttery with just a touch of powder. It feels chic, timeless, and feminine without being too traditional.
Scent Notes:
Top – Pear Leaf, Pink Pepper, Wild Freesia
Middle – Sheer Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Iris Butter
Base – Sandalwood, Marshmallow Musks, Touch of Moss
I get moderate projection and great wear time from this one.
Jo Malone Honeysuckle & Davana
This Jo Malone fragrance is easily one of my most complimented perfumes! Honeysuckle isn’t a note I usually gravitate toward. Still, I ended up with a tester of this and was surprised at how much I liked it. So much so that I went and bought the full-size bottle!
It’s not an overpowering honeysuckle scent. Instead, it’s sweet, green, floral, and fresh all at once. The davana and moss balance out what could be a more intense floral note, giving it dimension and wearability.
Scent Notes:
Top – Davana
Middle – English Honeysuckle
Base – Moss
This gives me moderate projection for a few hours, then softens into a closer-to-the-skin scent that lingers throughout the day.
Alien Goddess Intense
In complete transparency, I’m not usually a fan of the Alien line, but this one is an exception. Alien Goddess Intense is warm, creamy, and sultry without being too heavy. I love it for nighttime, but it’s still wearable during the day if you enjoy richer scents.
You get jasmine, vanilla, amber, and a bit of coconut. Yet it’s not tropical or beachy. To me, it leans more into a cozy, sexy white floral.
Scent Notes:
Top – Coconut, Bergamot
Middle – Jasmine, Jasmine Tea
Base – Vanilla, Benzoin, Cashmere Wood
On me, it has moderate projection and excellent longevity.
I know everyone is different with how their body chemistry reacts to fragrances and how they sit on your skin and wear throughout the day. A fragrance that smells great on me might not smell great on you, and vice versa.
