Anastasia Beverly Hills Review: 5 Must Have Products

When I think about iconic beauty brands that consistently deliver, Anastasia Beverly Hills is one that’s earned its cult status for a reason. Like many of you, I first fell in love with ABH because of their brow products, but over the years, they’ve launched a slew of other products that have completely wowed me. A few have even earned permanent spots in my beauty routine.

As someone with mature skin, I approach beauty reviews through the lens of my own real-life experiences. I have sensitive, combination skin with rosacea, and am not easily impressed. However, ABH has some incredible products that have passed the test with flying colors.

About the Brand

Founded by Anastasia Soare in 1997, Anastasia Beverly Hills began with one heart category: brows. Anastasia pioneered the Golden Ratio brow-shaping method and quickly built a loyal following that turned her brand into a staple in pro kits and everyday makeup bags. Over time, the brand expanded to include eyes, complexion, and lips, and has remained a force in the beauty world with both innovative formulas and timeless staples.

The Formulas

If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know I’m picky about formulas. ABH products are often richly pigmented, bendable, and long-wearing. But here’s what really matters: they’re user-friendly. Whether you’re a makeup minimalist or someone who treats your vanity like your own Sephora pop-up show, ABH formulas are made to work for real life.

My Skin Type

A little context for those new here: I have oily/combination skin that’s normal around the perimeter of my face, but I also deal with occasional dryness in those areas, especially during seasonal changes. The center of my face is where I get the most shine and oil breakthrough.  I also have sensitive skin with rosacea, which means I tread lightly with anything that can irritate my skin.

5 Must Have ABH Products

Brow Freeze Extreme Hold Sculpting Eyebrow Wax

If you’ve ever wanted the laminated brow look without the commitment (or want your brows to stay in place all day long), this is the product for you. Brow Freeze provides a lifted, full-brow look without the crunch or flaking. It holds my brows in place all day, even though New Orleans heat and humidity. The clear formula is easy to work with and doesn’t disturb the rest of your brow products if you want to layer.

Apply with a spoolie and work it through your brows quickly. This eyebrow wax works quickly, but once it’s applied, your brows stay in place.

Nouveau Eyeshadow Palette

This is one of those palettes that took me by surprise – in the best way. The Nouveau Eyeshadow Palette is a mix of neutrals and unexpected accent shades that work together effortlessly. The formula is rich and pigmented but super bendable, which I appreciate!

I also love how versatile this palette is. I can easily create a soft everyday eye or something more glam for an evening event. The texture of these eyeshadows is incredibly flattering, especially for mature eyes, without emphasizing texture.

Sultry Mini Eyeshadow Palette

The original Sultry palette had a major following. So when it was discontinued, many of us were incredibly disappointed. So a few years later, when ABH brought Sultry back in mini form, it was an immediate purchase. The Sultry Mini Eyeshadow Palette is the perfect mix of cool-toned neutrals and shimmers, ideal for both daytime wear and full glam. I love that it leans cooler, which is surprisingly hard to find in today’s warm-toned palette world.

The compact size makes it travel-friendly without sacrificing versatility. And as always, the formula is smooth, pigmented, and easy to blend.

Smooth Blur Contour Stick

Cream contour sticks can be risky for those with sensitive skin and texture, but this one from ABH nails it. It glides on without tugging, blends like a dream, and gives just the right amount of natural-looking definition without being patchy or heavy. It also has the perfect gray undertone for creating natural-looking contours.

The “blur” aspect isn’t just marketing either! It truly softens the look of pores and gives your skin that subtly sculpted finish. You can apply this with a dense brush or beauty sponge without your foundation moving underneath.

Cream Stick Blush

I’m always a sucker for a good blush! I’m constantly trying new ones, whether they’re powder or cream. This stick blush ticks all the boxes you could want in a cream blush. It’s creamy, blends effortlessly, and wears beautifully throughout the day. It truly gives the skin a fresh, radiant glow.

Plus, the built-in brush on the other end is handy for blending, travel, and for on-the-go touch-ups.

These five products are a great place to start, whether you’re a longtime ABH fan or dipping your toe into the brand for the first time.

Have you tried any of these? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. And be sure to let me know if you have a hit from Anastasia Beverly Hills that I need to try!

  1. “Thanks for this roundup! ABH products are an absolute classic in the makeup world, and they are definitely worth having in your kit if you value precision and longevity. When I’m taking a break from testing new beauty products and looking for some casual entertainment, I often visit https://mg-lion.co.in/. What are your favorite products from this brand?”

  2. I’ve had a similar experience with Anastasia Beverly Hills. I originally tried the brand for its brow products, but I ended up discovering several other favorites that have become part of my everyday routine. I also found some helpful reviews and product comparisons on thorfortune that made it easier to choose which items to try next. It’s nice to see a brand continue to deliver quality across different product categories.

  3. This is such a solid roundup – I’ve been a fan of ABH brows for years, but I haven’t tried their newer complexion products yet. The Brow Freeze sounds exactly like what I need for those humid summer days when my brows just refuse to stay put. I’m especially curious about the Smooth Blur Contour Stick – finding a contour that doesn’t look muddy on mature or textured skin is such a challenge. The Sultry Mini palette also caught my eye, it’s so hard to find good cool-toned neutrals these days. If you’re looking for more beauty reviews or product recommendations, I found this site pretty helpful too: https://coolzinos.com.es/ Thanks for sharing your honest experience, always appreciate a review from someone with real skin concerns!

  4. Honestly, ABH is one of those brands that just quietly stays undefeated year after year. Brow Freeze still feels like magic in a jar — it’s one of those products you don’t fully appreciate until you try something cheaper that just… doesn’t hold anything

I also agree about the Nouveau palette — it’s kind of slept on compared to the hype palettes, but the mix of tones makes it way more wearable day-to-day than people expect. And the Sultry Mini coming back was a smart move from ABH, that cool-toned gap in the market was real.

The contour stick is another win — “blur” products usually feel like marketing fluff, but this one actually behaves well on textured or sensitive skin without lifting base makeup.

If anyone’s building a little ABH routine, this lineup is basically a safe starting point without overthinking it.

Also, if you’re into beauty breakdowns and random product deep dives, I sometimes bookmark interesting finds like this https://baxterbet.es/ — always fun to compare notes and see what actually holds up in real life.

  5. Great review! I appreciate how detailed and honest your experience was, especially from the perspective of someone with sensitive and mature skin. It’s refreshing to see products evaluated based on real-world wear and performance rather than just first impressions. The Brow Freeze and Sultry Mini Palette sound particularly impressive. Thanks for sharing your favorites and explaining what makes each one stand out!
