Ice Rolling Benefits + Review
There’s nothing I love more than a budget-friendly beauty tool that actually works. My current favorite? Ice rollers. Ice rolling not only has so many great benefits, it’s also an easy step to add into your morning skincare routine. When it comes to ice rolling, there are tons of tool variations to pick from. I personally love this one (under $20!). It’s easy to clean and the gel/water is encased in plastic so you don’t have to worry about it dripping and being messy. If ice rolling is something you’ve seen on social media and is something you are interested in trying but want to learn more about the benefits, this post is going to break down ice roller benefits, how to do it, and my honest thoughts on this device.

What Does an Ice Roller Do?
Ice rolling is one of the least expensive, easiest (and quickest) skincare “hacks” that actually gives results. Ice rolling helps define and contour your bone structure, helps boost circulation, and reduces puffiness and redness. It can also help alleviate muscle tension since the cold roller causes your blood vessels to restrict when it touches your skin. Plus, it helps wake your skin up, giving you a brighter appearance!
Ice Roller Benefits
Reduces Inflammation
If you are someone that experiences inflammation or puffiness on your face, you’ll love incorporating ice rolling into your routine! Ice rolling helps reduce blood flow. The cool temperature of the roller helps soothe your skin while reducing redness and inflammation.
Boosts Lymphatic Drainage
While a gua sha is a better tool for boosting lymphatic drainage, an ice roller will still help stimulate and give your skin a brighter, healthier complexion.
Tightens and Firms Skin
When your skin comes into contact with cold temperatures, your blood vessels contract and give your skin a (temporary) firmer appearance. This benefit is a great reason to ice roll in the morning! Ice rolling along your jawline will help contour the face and give your jaw a more defined appearance.
Reduces Under Eye Puffiness
If you’re prone to under eye puffiness, ice rolling is a great way to help depuff and reduce dark circles. Keep in mind that your under eye area is delicate. So be careful when ice rolling in this area! I usually do my jaw line first, then move to my under eyes once the roller is less cold.
Situational Benefits
While I do focus on ice rolling as a skincare benefit, there are also situational benefits to ice rolling. The cold therapy is great for headaches and soothing sunburns and sore muscles.

How to Use an Ice Roller
Ice rollers are super easy to use! Keep it in your freezer at all times so you can grab and roll whenever you need to. When it’s time to use your ice roller, follow the following tips to see maximum results!
Time of Day
You can use your ice roller at any time of day. But I love using mine in the morning to de-puff and to help energize my skin for the day ahead. It also just feels really good and helps me wake up faster on the days that I’m feeling extra tired.
When in Your Skincare Routine
You can ice roll at any point in your skincare routine. Some people cleanse, ice roll, and then apply their skincare. Others prefer to cleanse, apply products, and then ice roll. It’s really your choice. Note that because the cold constricts blood vessels and slows product absorption, if you ice roll after applying your skincare products, be sure to wait at least 10 minutes for your products to absorb before starting to roll.
Use Upward Strokes
To encourage lymphatic drainage and to help depuff, always roll in gentle upward and outward strokes and concentrate on areas that are puffy/bloated and along your jaw. Use very little pressure around your eyes.
Roll for 5-10 Minutes
Even a few minutes of ice rolling gives nice results. The sweet spot for me is about 5-10 minutes. Once I’m done with my face, I’ll move to my neck and chest as an extra treat before starting my day.
How to Clean Your Ice Roller
Cleaning your ice roller after each use will help avoid bacteria build up your roller and avoid any breakouts or irritation. To clean it, simply wash with your face wash, any gentle soap, or a makeup brush cleaner and then rinse. Make sure it’s completely dry before putting it back in your freezer and store it away from any frozen food products!

There are so many talented creators sharing their work online, and it’s fun discovering something different every time. Whether it’s artwork, character concepts, or storytelling, each creator adds a personal touch that stands out. I spent some time exploring anime dragon designs and found plenty of imaginative ideas that were both colorful and creative. It’s great to see people expressing their passion through such detailed and original fantasy-inspired content.

Fresh poppy pods are the seed pods that are harvested from the poppy flower. Poppies are known for their beautiful flowers, but it’s their seed pods that are of the most value. These pods contain the seeds for the next crop and, when dried, they are frequently used in floral arrangements and other decorative crafts. By using fresh poppy pods, you can take your art to the next level as it gives a natural and pleasant look to your creations.
