Top 10 Sephora Products Of 2022

Best of Sephora 2022

Happy New Year, Everyone! I can’t believe 2022 has come to an end, and we are officially in the new year. Reflecting on this past year, I wanted to share my TOP most used Sephora products from 2022. Some of these were new discoveries while others are long-time go-to favorites of mine. Let’s get started!

Jo Malone London Wood Sage & Sea Salt

Fragrance 2022

Jo Malone has probably been one of my go-to fragrance houses for the past several years and will definitely hold its place going into 2023. I am a major fan of all their scents, from warm vanillas to fresh floral fragrances. Wood Sage & Sea Salt is a unisex scent that sits beautifully on my skin. It isn’t too masculine and has hints of amber and green. It’s a long-time best seller for good reason and is a perfect giftable fragrance too.

Bobbi Brown Skin Corrector Stick

Sephora 2022

I often praise this Corrector Stick for its remarkable ability to correct my under-eye discoloration so beautifully. It’s lightweight and creamy and wears well under any concealer. In addition, the shade bisque is my perfect tone to counter-balance my dark circles so that my concealer conceals better while using less. If you have dark circles, this is a must-have!

Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation

Dior Foundation 2022

I’m a broken record because I mention Dior Backstage Foundation so much! This is a long-time favorite of mine because it looks SO skin-like yet covers beautifully. The finish is also incredibly versatile depending on the type of primer you wear underneath. You can build it from sheer to medium-full coverage and it looks like skin the entire time while smoothing your pores to perfection. Last but not least, it lasts all day. This is a staple foundation in makeup artist kits and for me and one that I wear alone and mix in with other foundations. If you want to see my shade match in this or other foundations, I wear, you can see them HERE.

PAT McGRATH LABS Under-Eye Setting Powder

2022 Eye Powder

This powder has been in my everyday makeup routine since it launched! Sublime Perfection Blurring Under-Eye Setting Powder is translucent yet also brightens when applied to the skin. It’s very finely milled, so a tiny bit of this sheer powder goes a long way. It doesn’t accentuate dryness or fine lines and it lasts all day. This is my go-to under-eye powder!

HUDA BEAUTY Setting Powder

Best of 2022

Moving on from under my eyes, the face-setting powder I used most this year was the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Powder. I use the shade pound cake which is translucent on my light-medium skin and doesn’t change the color of my foundation. Of course, you can use this for baking under the eyes, but I use it to set my face. It blurs my pores, looks natural, helps my makeup last all day, and prevents shine.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Shadow

Sephora Eye Shadow

I’ve shared my love for Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks many times because they are fantastic one-and-done eyeshadows. You can simply swipe them on your lids, smudge, and go! But I also use these frequently as eyeliner. I take my eyeliner brush, dip it right into the product, and then line my eyes as I normally would. These are quick to apply, have a lot of pigment, allow me to smudge my line a bit (which is so flattering as we get a bit older), and last all day long. I still use regular eyeliners and other shadows, but these give me such flexibility if I’m in a hurry or want to go a little bit smudgier.

Tarte Tartelette Tubing Mascara

Best of 2022 Sephora

Tartelette Tubing Mascara launched this year, and I absolutely love it. It gives me incredible volume and length that I can wear every day or build up more dramatically for nighttime. Plus it doesn’t flake or smudge and leaves my lashes soft. This was a fantastic new beauty release from Tarte that I’ll definitely be repurchasing!

Benefit Cosmetics Precisely My Brow

Sephora Brow Pencil

I don’t think I’ve talked about this Benefit Cosmetics Pencil nearly enough – especially considering how much I use shade 3.5 on a regular basis. This lives in my makeup drawer and is in constant rotation. While I wouldn’t say it’s the brow pencil I reach for when I want to mimic brow hair strokes precisely, it’s perfect for looking natural on a daily basis or if I’m in a hurry. The pigmentation is perfect, the pencil precise, and it’s just easy to swipe on quickly and go.

Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm

Sephora Maracuja

Tarte knew what they were doing with this lip product. It’s everything your lips need – all in one. Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm is a color treatment with high gloss shine to achieve the perfect juicy lip look. Not only does this product smooth out the lines on your lips and make them appear plumper, but it also has tons of hydrating ingredients that boost collagen and anti-aging properties. It’s not too thick, not too thin, nor is it sticky. It’s a pleasure to apply, feels good, and looks flattering. I have this in multiple shades because I can’t get enough of it!

Tatcha The Rice Wash Skin-Softening Cleanser

Sephora Tatcha Cleanser

Tatcha Rice Wash Cleanser is a staple holy grail cleanser I will never be without. It’s a pH-neutral soft cream cleanser with rice and hyaluronic acid that cleanses effectively, yet doesn’t strip your skin. The luxurious texture feels fantastic on my combination skin and will forever be a favorite.

Wondering if the Pat McGrath under eye powder arrives…… rock solid. For lack of a better word. I find it incredibly difficult to pick up any powder due to its density and the dome shape ….. just keep ? 🙂

Hmmm…definitely doesn’t. When you swipe it with a finger, does it pick up product? I’m wondering if you got an old one somehow that’s formed hard-pan. It’s smooth when you swipe a finger across and it picks up white pigment that brushes/dusts away when applied.

Stephanie, have you done a comparison of the Tatcha rice cleanser with my personal favorite, which is the Chantecaille Rice and Geranium cleanser? I’ve used it for a long time and have always loved it. The Tatcha is so much cheaper that I’m curious. Are they similar?

I haven’t tried the Chantecaille but am intrigued!

I agree with you, partly the Tarte products! Love both of those! Happy New Year!
