I recently rounded up 7 drugstore dupes and compared them to high-end makeup products! Here are the ones that made the cut and have been my favorites lately! You can see these and the shades in action in the video below.
I absolutely love Giorgio Armani Foundation I wear shade 5.75. You can see all my foundation shade matches HERE. However, I have found that L’oreal True Match Nude Serum Foundation (I wear shade 4-5) is a fantastic dupe! I love how similar the consistency and finish are and how well it blends and wears. The L’Oreal foundation does basically everything Armani does for a fraction of the price!
Laura Mercier Translucent Powder is definitely a tried and true classic, but it comes with a high end price point. This Wet n Wild Photo Focus Translucent Powder is a great alternative. I might even go as far as to say I prefer it over the Laura Mercier powder since I enjoy the way the Wet n Wild powder looks under my eyes so much better, which I’ve never liked for that purpose. Both have great formulas, but Wet n Wild is not only affordable, it sets my makeup beautifully and brightens and flatters my dry under eyes!
NARS Air Matte Blush in Freedom is a beautiful shade with a whipped, mousse-like formula. But it can occasionally get a little patchy when you blend it out over other makeup products. Milani Cheek Kiss Cream Blush in Nude Kiss has a creamier formula that blends out even better, is almost an exact shade match, and wears just as long!
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer is extremely popular. It effortlessly glides on the face and looks extremely natural and wears well. But it retails for $56! For an equally luxurious look, I’m loving L’oreal Infallible 24-hour Fresh Wear Bronzer. The texture and application immediately reminded me of the Charlotte Tillbury bronzer! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative!
The Too Faced Born This Way Natural Nudes is a staple warm neutral palette in my makeup collection. It’s perfect for putting together any eye look quickly and the quality is great. I can, however, get similar makeup looks with the Colorpop Bare Necessities Palette, which I’ve loved for a long while now. It’s a larger palette with more shades, which gives you more bang for your buck. The variety and quality are both amazing with this palette! I truly love both of these palettes. But if you’re wanting to save a little money and get a ton of variety, Colorpop Bare Necessities is a great buy!
The Charlotte Tilbury Spotlight Beauty Light Wand is an amazing champagne highlighter that’s harder and harder to find! Luckily this new Flower Spotlight Liquid Highlight in Opal is a fantastic dupe. I love Flower Beauty overall. The quality is usually fantastic. And these follow suit with their easy-to-blend, gorgeous formulas. These also set down and don’t remain sticky or tacky to the touch like many liquid products!
One of my favorite finishing powders of all time is Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder. While I think it’s stunning, It’s getting hard to find and not everyone wants to spend $39 on a finishing powder! I’ve found that even though ELF Halo Glow Powder is loose, the airbrushed, candle-lit finish it gives your makeup makes it a great dupe for Candleglow. Both give that gorgous flawless look to your finished makeup and help your makeup last longer too!
