Now that May is here, it’s time to recap all of my monthly beauty favorites April! I have lots of great products to share with you that I’ve been loving.
Sephora Charged Up Liquid Eyeshadow
I’ve been loving the “Energy” shade of the Sephora Charged Up Liquid Eyeshadow! It’s the perfect peach-gold shade that’s great for spring and summer. This line offers both shimmers and metallics. None of them set to where they look dry or crinkly. Because the brush applicator is a bit stiff and scratchy, I prefer to swipe the product on my finger and just tap the product onto my eyelids with my finger instead. I then I blend out the edges with a brush, just as I do with any cream or liquid eyeshadow.
This product sets pretty quickly, so I only apply it to one lid at a time. This lasts all day (even without a primer) in my hot, humid New Orleans weather! I’ve been very impressed with this! I love the shade, it’s easy to wear, and it lasts all day. Oh yeah, did I mention that it’s $10? You can’t ask for more than that!
Grab it while you can because right now there are only 4 shades available. I don’t know if they’re revamping or discontinuing this line!
Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump

Tarte recently expanded their Maracuja Juicy Lip Line. If you follow my YouTube channel at all, you know how much I love the original Maracuja Juicy Lip! It’s basically my current holy grail, swipe on and go product. I keep one in all of my bags. It hydrates, nourishes, feels good, and comes in a bunch of flattering colors!
Recently, Tarte expanded this line to include a Juicy Lip Plump, which I also bought during the Sephora Sale. I love it just as much as the original. This one has a minty sensation to it that probably helps plump. But it doesn’t have that tingly, bee sting sensation that you get with many lip plumpers. It’s just so easy to swipe it on and just go. Plus it gives you enough color to look polished and nice. It also fills out all of those vertical lip lines (if you have any) and is hydrating.
The Lip Plump has nourishing ingredients like Maracuja oil, which is rich in fatty acids and vitamin C, and helps your lips look smoother. It also has Grapeseed oil, which helps diminish signs of aging, and Noji, which supports collagen production and helps retain moisture.
Huda Beauty Cheeky Tint Cream Blush Stick
I’ve been extremely impressed with the Huda Beauty Cheeky Tint Cream Blush Stick! It almost looks like it’s going to be iridescent, but it actually gives a gorgeous dewy look! It’s not sticky, blends out beautifully, and just melts into the skin to look really natural. It literally lasts all day. The shade I purchased is “Proud Pink,” which provides a beautiful, natural flush shade on my light, medium neutral, warm skin tone. You can see it and all of these products in my video below the post.
Pur Go With the Glow Niacinamide Drops
I haven’t really heard anyone talk about the Pur Go with the Glow Niacinamide Drops, which is surprising because I’ve really been enjoying them. If you’re someone who found the Glow Recipe Watermelon Dew Drops to be a little bit too dewy for you to use during the day, this would be a great alternative. Niacinamide is great for keeping skin clear and pores minimized and is also beneficial for the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
You can put this on your cleansed skin first thing in the morning and/or at night. You can also mix this in with foundation, tinted moisturizer, or whatever you’re putting on your face that morning. Since it also has vitamin c and squalane, it helps with hydration as well. There is a whole cocktail of ingredients in this that help the skin look smooth and moisturized: kale, spinach, aloe, lavender, grapefruit, and pomegranate. I love the texture of it and the subtle non-greasy glow it gives my skin.
Too Faced Born This Way Natural Nudes Palette
I’ve used this almost daily since I bought it and am sorry I didn’t buy it sooner. The quality of both the mattes and the shimmers is fantastic. I can get a wide range of looks with this and I love all of them. I brought this with me on my last trip because it had everything I needed in it to get a solid eye look or a simple one-and-done eye look. I even line with the deep shades. If you’ve been hesitating, you may want to give this a second look. I absolutely adore this palette.
St Tropez Self-Tan Lux Whipped Cream Mouse
This was a surprise hit for me in April because I don’t rave about self-tanner. I am actually kind of lazy with self-tanning, so it takes a lot to impress me. I picked up this limited edition St Tropez x Ashley Graham Ultimate Glow Kit. The presentation of this is really nice – the mitt even looks kind of luxe.
There are a few things that really just make this a hit for me. Number one, it is so easy to use. It almost has this olive green tone to it so it won’t turn your skin orange. It also dries quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky feel after. It wasn’t overly smelly…not more so than other self-tanners. And it gave me a nice, beautiful, even self-tan. Overall, this product is easy-to-use and fail-proof!
Fenty Sun Stalk’r Face & Eye Bronzer Highlighter Palette
I’ve used this a lot on both my eyes and face and think this is a great multi-tasking palette. No matter how you use it, it’s easy to use and blends out effortlessly. The quality of both the shimmers and mattes is really nice. I’ve used this many times as bronzer, highlighter, all over my face, as eyeshadow and eyeliner, and have loved the results every time.
I love a good eye and face palette that I can reach for and use quickly if I’m in a hurry. If you’re someone like me who loves a good multitasking and multipurpose palette, this one is for you.
Bare Minerals Gen Nude Blonzers
I know a lot of people love the Bare Minerals Gen Nude Blonzers. Rightly so! This is the perfect time of year for these! I’ve specifically been enjoying Kiss of Copper and Kiss of Pink. These have a very flattering sheen to them with no sparkles. They suggest that you apply them in a W-sweeping motion over your cheeks and nose which gives you a natural, dewy, sun-kissed look. These are gorgeous for that “just came in from the sun” look that so many of us are after this time of year!
Isle of Paradise Night Glow
Isle of Paradise Night Glow is designed to give a bronzed glow while you sleep and address redness, dullness, and uneven texture. It contains Jasmine Oil to soothe skin, Argan oil to moisturize, and Hyaluronic Acid for hydration. You spray this on at night so you wake up in the morning with a lovely bronzed glow. This works well for my sensitive, acne-prone combination skin. I’ve been enjoying this a lot!
