10 Best Skin-Like Foundations That LAST

best long lasting skin looking foundations

Finding the right foundation can be a neverending battle. So many factors come into play when trying to find the perfect foundation that looks like skin.

Here are 10 of the longest-wearing foundations on the market today that truly look like skin! Find out the full details of each one in my YouTube video (linked below).

All of these foundations provide more coverage than your average skin tint, yet could still have people guessing if you’re wearing foundation or not. They look that naturally beautiful!

1. Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Fluid Powder Foundation

Most liquid-to-powder foundations aren’t flattering on my combination/oily skin. They just look kind of “powdery” and unflattering. Not this one! Bobbi Brown’s formula is gorgeous. This is a foundation that looks like skin, covers well, blurs pores, provides a soft matte finish (no primer needed), and mattifies my oily t-zone all day…even in the most humid, hottest weather. Because it sets very quickly, I recommend applying it in thin layers in sections, similarly to how I apply the foundation in this video.

Skin types: Normal to oily

2. Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation

Pat McGrath foundation is a favorite among many for its beautiful skin-like sheer to medium coverage. It applies quickly and feels amazing on the skin and provides anti-aging and anti-wrinkle benefits.

Skin types: any

3. Revlon Photo-Ready Candid Natural Finish Foundation

Buildable with light to medium coverage, this foundation gives a flawless natural finish as well as anti-pollution and blue light protection. This doesn’t necessarily blur or enhance pores but gives a true enhanced, realistic skin-like finish that looks fresh and healthy.

4. La Mer Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation

This is a luxury option that is often at the top of many favorites lists. Because it contains La Mer’s proprietary skin-care complex, when used regularly, this foundation will keep you hydrated, soften lines, and blur pores and imperfections. The finish is stunningly beautiful and remains one of my favorites year after year.

5. Essence Pretty Natural Hydrating Foundation

Thanks to hyaluronic acid and aloe vera, this drugstore foundation is hydrating and feels great all day. Its buildable coverage leaves a soft radiant finish that doesn’t look greasy even on my shine-prone areas. Because many radiant/hydrating foundations tend to make my t-zone an oily mess during the day, I was truly surprised by this one!

Skin types: all

6. Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream

This is another drugstore option that provides a flattering soft matte finish. It’s buildable from light to full medium coverage, looks great on pores and doesn’t accentuate dry flakes.

Skin types: Normal to oily

7. Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation

Dior Backstage is one of my Holy Grail foundations. This is easily one of the most versatile foundations I own. It can go from sheer to medium-full coverage – and look like skin the whole time. The finish is also versatile, in that it takes on the finish of whatever primer you use underneath (illuminating, matte, etc) very well. It’s breathable, blurs pores amazingly well, and mixes with other foundations nicely. Backstage is a staple in makeup artist kits for good reason!

Skin types: all

8. Chanel Ultra Le Teint

A little goes a long way with this luxury foundation! A half a drop gives nice coverage that builds from medium to full. It contains soft-focus powders that create a soft luminescent finish. Because of the gorgeous soft matte soft-focus finish, it’s an ideal long-lasting foundation for dry skin.

Skin types: all

9. Laura Mercier Flawless Radiance-Perfecting Foundation

This is another radiant foundation that truly surprised me. It blends out easily and quickly, giving medium to medium-full coverage. It’s one of the few radiant foundations that stays gorgeous on my skin all day and doesn’t get greasy-looking in my t-zone. It also blurs pores beautifully.

Skin types: All

10. Lancôme Teint Idôle

Teint Idole is a foundation that looks like skin and provides a satin-matte finish. It gives medium to medium-full coverage that naturally blurs the pores. This is a great daytime foundation that will last a solid day or a solid night and looks naturally beautiful.

For luxury picks, I enjoy the Lisa Eldridge foundation and I have dry skin, leaning combo in warm weather (I’m shade 11 and usually go with Stephanie’s shade picks). I also like the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator.

I like the Essence, but I really like Catrice True Skin to it looks skin like and when set with their pressed powder, it lasts out in this Fl weather..
