Sometimes, we want a little bit of coverage but don’t want to look like we’re wearing foundation. Below are the best foundations that look like skin. These foundations can give you that natural look you’re going for and provide the coverage you need.
All products worn are listed in the video below!
It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Foundation + Skincare
This is replacing the discontinued Bye Bye Lines foundation from my video below. This foundation is infused with hyaluronic acid which provides all-day hydration. It also has aloe vera extract and vitamins E, B5. It’s suitable for all skin types. It provides buildable medium coverage and a natural skin-like radiant finish. It doesn’t settle into lines, is very lightweight, and blurs out pores well. I really love the healthy, natural finish that this gives me. I review this foundation here.
Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Fluid Powder Foundation
This is actually the first liquid to powder foundation that I’ve ever liked. It blends very easily and sets quickly. Personally, I like applying it with a damp or dry sponge in sections. It provides sheer to light coverage and gives a natural soft matte finish. This foundation is extremely long-wearing as it controls my shine and oil all day long and keeps my make-up looking beautiful. This is perfect for combination/oily skin
La Mer Soft Fluid Long-Wear Foundation
This is the priciest among the five foundations listed here. But it’s understandable why people of all skin types think it’s worth it. It’s a gorgeous foundation! It offers light to medium coverage while feeling extremely lightweight and looking skin-like and natural. Before setting with powder, it gives a satiny finish. After, it sets into a long-lasting, soft matte finish. I have worn this foundation on long hot days and it stays consistent throughout the day.
Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation
This is one of my favorite foundations of all time. It appears in many of my “top foundations” lists for a reason. This foundation gives sheer to medium-full coverage and still looks like skin. No matter how much layering is needed, it never gets cakey which is why it’s so magical! Sometimes, I even use my fingers or a brush to spot conceal with it. It’s just that skin-like and good. This is a foundation that transforms its finish depending on the primer used. That’s one of the things I love about. It’s also one of my top long-lasting, natural-looking bulletproof foundations. Backstage is suitable for all skin types.
This is a great skin-like foundation to keep on hand for those super long days or for when it’s hot and humid outside. It’s extremely lightweight and controls my oil all day long. It also does a great job of blurring pores and fine lines. This is a fantastic skin-like foundation for combination/oily skin.
Let me know in the comments below if there are any skin-like foundations out there that I absolutely need to try or maybe haven’t even heard of!

Have you ever tried the Dior Capture Totale Serum Foundation? It’s expensive, but felt nice on my skin. I can’t decide if it’s a good product for my skin type. I’m 47 with sensitive skin that is combination oily.
