The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 is here! This year because of Covid-19, instead of mailing their catalog, Nordstrom is giving EVERYONE an online preview HERE through Aug 18. I don’t know about you, but I love this change because it allows me to plan out my purchases much better than in years past. There are more changes and key things to note with the 2020 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

I have key takeaways and dates below my picks and recommendations.

Sale Dates

Shop early

Because stock runs out quickly on popular items, I highly recommend hitting the sale as early as you can. Nordstrom hasn’t guaranteed restocks beyond the presale for several years. So being a Nordstrom Cardholder is more important than ever! It’s free and has lots of perks. In addition to early access, if you’re approved, you receive a $60 Nordstrom Note toward your first purchase! It’s not too late to sign up so you can have Early Access. Depending on the status of your card (based on your annual spending), the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens up to Nordstrom Cardholders around two weeks before it opens to the public. Believe me, it’s totally worth it. If you’re worried about interest, just pay that sucker off monthly!

Check Back for Restocks

If something want is out of stock in your size or color, check back daily to see if it’s restocked. Many items DO restock throughout the sale. Don’t lose hope!

Online vs In-Store

Should you shop online or in-store? Everything from the Anniversary Sale is available online. Each store has a different buyer and will carry different inventory, so only some of the things you find online are available in-store. In-store pickup is available as well.

My BIGGEST Tip

As someone who LOVES to fill a cart with everything I need before checking out, I have to tell you to NOT DO THIS during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Nordstrom has FREE SHIPPING and FREE RETURNS. So if you see a must-have item that you want and need, throw it in your cart and check out right then and there. Trust me – I’ve been that person who put that gorgeous dress (or those fave undies I stock up on each year) into my cart and then got distracted…only to find them gone hours later! You can check out as many times as you want until 8/31. But you never know when your favorite product will be gone for good! Shop smart and have fun!
