NARS Liquid Blush

I’ve never been a huge fan of cream of liquid blushes. But NARS Liquid Blush has made me do a complete 180. These launched in May at Nars boutiques and online and arrived at Sephora on June 1. The following day, I found myself in Sephora gushing over the fresh testers just taken from the bottom drawer so I could check them out.

The Shades

There are currently four shades in the NARS Liquid Blush lineup. I ended up with Torrid (a warm coral with gold sheen) and Orgasm (a soft pink with gold sheen). Luster (a sheer golden apricot) and Dolce Vita (a muted dusty rose) were beautiful but not as suited for my NC25 skintone. Luster didn’t seem to show up enough, while Dolce Vita seemed a bit too cool and deep.

Price & Bottle

At $30 for 1.5 oz, you get a lot for your money. The glass bottle is heavy and sturdy and the lid stays put. One pump was more than enough to do both cheeks…a little goes a LONG way with this product. Yet the shades aren’t overpowering at all.

Texture

The consistency is just what the name implies…liquidy. I’ve found these apply beautifully, whether directly to the skin, over foundation or over powder. I’ve never found another cream or liquid blush that applies over powder products without looking patchy or removing the makeup underneath. There is some magic in these blushes! They’re pretty much perfect!

For all you oily/combination folks out there, these feel like nothing on the skin. Once blended in and set, there is no remaining texture. No tackiness. No stickiness. No shine. The flush of color remains without leaving you with any greasy or oily residue.

The verdict

I hope that NARS releases more liquid blush shades in the future. These blushes apply seamlessly and don’t fade throughout the day. Though the bottle looks small, you get a LOT of product for your money since only a tiny tiny amount is needed for application. I feel like they’d work for any and all skintypes. NARS Liquid Blush gets two thumbs up from me!

The lipstick color is so beautiful, I love it. Thank you for all the beauty information! You have the most flattering lipstick colors. Wish you might include the products and colors you use more often for your lips.
