It Cosmetics CC Cream has somewhat of a cult status yet I’d never given it a second glance. As someone with combo/oily skin, it just didn’t appeal to me. I saw the word “hydrating” and “SPF” and cringed. However, at the urging of some of you, I decided to pick up the travel size and give it a go.
A cc cream with 50 SPF that offers skincare benefits in addition to offering full coverage. The full size costs $38 USD for 1.08 fl oz. The travel sized bottle costs $15 USD for 0.4 fl oz. There are only 5 shades in the range. I do find this a bit limiting considering how popular this cc cream is. I have the shade Light, although if I get any more color, I will need Medium.
I LOVE the lemony scent of this! It smells terrific! However, the citrus may aggravate some sensitive skin types, so beware. I have sensitive skin and don’t have an issues. I find it super easy to blend in and apply. As usual, I tried many methods during my Foundation Road Test. My favorite method is with a primer and using a brush, which is surprising to me since I usually prefer a damp beauty blender for most medium to full coverage foundations/cc creams. Fingers work well too. I’m just not one that likes to use my fingers to apply foundation.
This cc cream wears well for me. So well, in fact, that my makeup is still intact at the end of an 18 hour day! It’s become my foundation/cc cream of choice if I’m doing anything outdoors. I feel this sits somewhere between Estee Lauder Double Wear Light and regular Double Wear for me. It’s not as matte as Double Wear, nor does it cover quite as much. It’s a bit more matte than Double Wear Light and covers just a bit more. This definitely has a place in my foundation arsenal. I’m so glad I tried this. Foundation Road Test Success!
